ANA, Japan’s largest airline group, won first place at the 2012 Cellars in the Sky Awards at an event held by Business Traveller Magazine, for its port wine served in First Class. This is the third consecutive year that ANA have picked up awards for the in-flight wines served on international routes. The annual Business Traveller Cellars in the Sky awards were presented on Monday February 4, at the Dorchester hotel in London by Charles Metcalfe, co-chairman of the International Wine Challenge and food and wine matching guru. Graham’s 30 Years Old Tawny, the port wine that won the award in port wine category, can be enjoyed on board ANA’s First Class on its international routes. The awards have been running since 1985, recognizing the best business and first class wines served by airlines worldwide. Over 75 carriers were contacted in the summer of 2012, with a total of 33 airlines entering. Graham’s 30 Years Old Tawny Douro, Portugal An outstanding port, long admired as a gem of Portugal. Established in 1820, Graham’s continues to ferment grapes by handmade techniques in granite tanks under the strict quality control of the prestigious Symingtons. Rich aromas of caramel and licorice. The complex sweetness spreads smoothly despite the 20 percent alcohol. Try this tawny, an intoxicant favored by the British aristocracy, as a digestif. Source:- ana
