Arriva-Trains-300x180Arriva Trains Wales is advising customers and fans planning to travel by train to the Wales v Argentina match at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 16th November to allow plenty of time for their journey.

The game will kick-off at the Millennium Stadium at 14.30 and around 74,500 fans are expected at the stadium and train services are expected to be extremely busy.

Train services are expected to be extremely busy throughout the day and into the evening. Arriva Trains Wales will be providing extra train services and additional seating capacity where possible.

We advise customers to check the timetables for all trains arriving and departing Cardiff Central Station well in advance of scheduled departures. You can check train times by visiting www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/Timetables or visit our online journey planner.

Cardiff Queen Street station will be closed as usual after 1600.

The usual post-event queuing management system will be in place at Cardiff Central station after the event, allowing passengers to board their train in the most efficient and safe manner. If you are not familiar with Cardiff Central station and the queuing system, please view the queue plan below.

Station staff will be distributing queue plan to passengers during the day. If passengers are not attending the game, we would strongly recommend they travel at a different time to avoid the crowds. Every effort is made to provide as much additional capacity as possible for major events in Cardiff and all our available trains will be in use.

Ebbw Vale passengers – please note that there is a dedicated queue for passengers travelling to Rogerstone, Risca, Crosskeys, Newbridge, Llanhilleth and Ebbw Vale Parkway at the front of the station. Please do not join the Cardiff and Valley lines queue which goes via rear of the station / Penarth Road entrance as you will not be guided to the Ebbw Vale services.

Live travel updates for Arriva Trains Wales services on the event day will be available
