To further this commitment, the resort will host award winning Master Chefs, Mohammed Irfan Qureshi and Mohammed Ashfaque Qureshi, from the celebrated ‘Imtiaz Qureshi’ family to create a special dining experience for food connoisseurs in Qatar till 11th of October 2015 at its Q Lounge and Restaurant. Distinguished for serving heritage with a twist, the Qureshi brothers are regarded as the taste makers of modern Indian cuisine, and will be celebrating their Indian heritage with ancient recipes and culinary secrets that have been passed down from generation to generation, as well as well as introduce new recipes.

 

 

Having worked at leading international hotels, the ‘Qureshi’ brothers have taken their heritage cuisine to different corners of the world and treated hundreds and thousands of people with their culinary excellence. With their father, the grand master of Indian cuisine Imtiaz Qureshi being their mentor, the brothers are all set to step foot in Qatar and recreate their award winning delicacies that have won them global laurels.

 

 

The famous ‘Qureshi’ surname has been synonymous with good eating for over 200 years and has become a passport to success within the global hospitality industry. Legendary chefs to the great Mughal Emperors of India, the ‘Qureshi’ family have spent a great deal of time and effort in researching and developing cuisines reminiscent of the glorious days of the Mughal Empire.  Two special cuisine’s perfected by Qureshi’s categorized as ‘Heritage Cuisine’s’ include the ‘Frontier’ and ‘Dum Pukht’.

 

 

The ‘Frontier’ cuisine is considered the legacy of the Grand Master Chef Imtiaz Qureshi, who was responsible for introducing the concept of the ‘stand-up tandoor’ and for adding a touch of perfection to the recipes served at restaurant as well as creating recipes that are now on the menus of tandoori restaurants all over the world. The distinctive and immensely popular ‘Dum Pukht’ cuisine has found a niche for itself with international gourmets worldwide, bearing a resemblance to Persian cuisine.
