BCD Travel today announced the appointment of Craig Bailey as president of North America.
As the leader of North America, Bailey will focus on continuing to shape, strengthen and grow business in BCD Travel’s largest market.
He’ll oversee client management, contracts, budgets and relationships with all other regions. The role of president of North America was created in April after the company named Americas Region President Mike Janssen as its global chief operating officer, adding to his existing responsibilities.
In his previous role as senior vice president, North America Central Region and Tbiz, Bailey steered the growth of the more than 100 corporate accounts under his management to more than $1.2 billion. He also has overseen Tbiz, one of the 10 largest travel management companies in the U.S., since we acquired it in June 2013. Bailey previously served as divisional senior vice president.
“Craig brings to his new role a talent for building and fostering strong client and vendor relationships, a depth of experience in strategic planning and a track record of success in managing large teams,” Janssen said. “Since joining BCD Travel more than 10 years ago, Craig has contributed significantly to our profitability in the U.S.”
