Bears in the air at Robin Hood Airport

The next time you jet off for a family holiday at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield make sure your children bring their most prized possession – their teddy bear!
Children travelling with Thomson Airways from Doncaster Sheffield Airport will have the opportunity to ‘check-in’ their teddies and receive a special boarding card which they can exchange for a Very Important Buddy (VIB) tag at the boarding gate.
New for this year, children will also receive a special VIB passport enabling them to detail their important travel details and complete lots of activities – they even get a VIB sticker for their teddies.
The airline hopes that the introduction of the Very Important Buddy passport will help children keep track of all the exciting places they have been with their teddies, as well as documenting their trips away with Thomson.
Steve Gill, Managing Director at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield, said: “We are a very family friendly airport and it is great news that Thomson is offering this extra special service to our young passengers.
“I am very much looking forward to seeing our young travelers arriving at the airport with their teddy bears and watching their delight when they receieve their Very Important Buddy passports. I am sure they will keep them as a special reminder of their holiday and flight from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.”
