Bigjigs Toys have been working in partnership with Virgin Trains to create a wooden version of the famous Virgin Pendolino.
Virgin Trains approached the wooden toy manufacturer back in January after the well- publicised story of Bigjigs Rail making an audacious bid for the West Coast Main Line. Whilst the Department for Transport declined the bid, Bigjigs Toys and Virgin Trains have been working closely together to create a wooden Pendolino that would not look out of place on the UK’s busiest line.
The wooden Pendolino comes complete with two power cars and a carriage, all connected via a magnetic coupling system which ensures they can be added to. The train set also comes with two pieces of Bigjigs Rail track. With an RRP of £12.99 and suitable for children aged 3 years+, this iconic train is set to be a must have for youngsters this Christmas.
