Bombardier Secures Order for Eight Global Business Jets

Bombardier1Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it has received a firm order for eight Global business jets, including three Global 6000, two Global 7000 and three Global 8000 jets, from an undisclosed customer. The transaction is valued at approximately $537 million US, based on the 2014 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

“We are confident that the Global aircraft product line’s strong momentum will continue in 2014,” said Éric Martel, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace. “The leadership of our products in terms of range, cabin volume and comfort, as well as state-of-the-art technology, is once again confirmed by this order,” he added.

Global 6000 aircraft: The Global 6000 jet’s large cabin size and levels of comfort combined with an optional stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck means it offers a perfect blend of high-speed, range capability and traveler comfort. Offering the latest in technology, this intrepid jet can link Paris with Tokyo, non-stop, with eight passengers and three to four crew.*

Global 7000 aircraft**: Featuring a spacious four-zone cabin, this aircraft sets the benchmark for a new category of large business jets. With a volume of 2,637 cu. ft. (74.67 cu. m.), passengers will enjoy 20 per cent more living space than the cabin of the Global 6000 aircraft, the current industry leader. The aircraft will have a high-speed cruise of M 0.90* and a range of 7,300 nm (13,520 km) at M 0.85*. It will fly Sydney-Dubai, London-Singapore or Beijing-Washington nonstop with 10 passengers*. Entry-into-service is scheduled for 2016.

Global 8000 aircraft**: Flying farther than any other business jet*, the Global 8000 aircraft will feature a superior three-zone, 2,236-cu.ft. (63.32-cu.m.) cabin and an impressive range of 7,900 nm (14,631 km) at M 0.85*. It will connect Sydney-Los Angeles, Hong Kong-New York and Mumbai-New York non-stop with eight passengers*. The Global 8000 jet will reach a high-speed cruise of M 0.90*. Entry-into-service is scheduled for 2017.
