british-airways-planeBritish Airways is sticking to its story telling marketing trend for UK travelers planning to visit Australia.

Tourism Australia and British Airways launched a campaign named #VisitSoon to woo UK travelers to visit their friends and families living in Australia.

According to the regional general manager for the UK, Denise von Wald, as the UK economy is showing signs of revival, visiting friends and relatives would represent a large and valuable market and this is the ideal time to launch such a campaign.

In the short video clip launched by the British Airways, the real story of Esme Rowling, an eight year old girl living with her English parents in Bondi, Australia is portrayed.
The grandparents of Esme saw the video in a film theatre in London and they were utterly surprised.

They were delighted to know that they were also provided with a ticket to Sydney by British Airlines and Tourism Australia.

In recent times, the airline launched “Get further to get closer” campaign around Valentine’s Day to woo Indian couples to spend quality time together through overseas travel.

In August 2013, the airline launched a tear-jerking campaign “Visit Mum” that encouraged Indians living abroad to visit their mothers back home in India.

In all these three campaigns, the storytelling theme has been consistent.
