Summer-Tourism-in-ChinaAccording to the China Tourism Academy summer tourism will grow speedily over the next few years as more people consider a trip to summer resorts. The call for summer travel will be massive, said the report. Many travel agencies have innovative programs and airlines are scheduling more flights to summer resorts.

In the report, the cities which enjoy cool summer days are mostly located in northeastern China or coastal areas such as Harbin, Qingdao and Qinghuangdao.

Even though the scenarios are promising, the report also urges that convenience be given priority in tourist itineraries and that resources are integrated. Resorts should not limit their services to sightseeing but expand into exhibitions and health clubs.

Already China is the world’s second-largest travel and tourism economy, with each Chinese person making an average two and a half trips last year.

In April president and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council David Scowsill, said that Chinese tourism is likely to grow 7% annually for the next 10 years, and may overtake the United States in 2023.
