Looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day in an unconventional fashion this year? Head to Proof, an American canteen, for a menu replete with heady flavours of garlic, pungent cheese and liver, as well as puns aplenty to keep the humour flowing at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North.
“Those seeking a break from tradition this Valentine’s Day will find the perfect option in Proof,” says Proof General Manager Tim Hass. “Single diners, families and couples with a sense of adventure will appreciate our menu served with a side order of fun.”
The Proof “Un-Valentine’s Day” menu includes offering such as fried frog legs, served with spicy greens, pepper jelly and smoked blue cheese. Or, tuck into chicken liver spread, with garlic toast and onion jam. Continue on with a Broken Heart Salad, featuring hearts of palm, celery and artichoke hearts in a pool of red beet puree and blood orange dressing. For the main event, order deep fried whole trout, stuffed with roasted garlic and service with garlic parmesan fries and garlic aioli. To close the meal, order up the “Lonely Hearts Club” pint of ice cream, featuring vanilla, strawberry or bitter chocolate brownie ice cream, mixed with crushed candy hearts.
An à la carte menu also will be available, as well as a children’s menu.
