Effective today, the Czech Airlines Board of Directors is three-membered and has the following members: Jozef Sinčák – Chairman with responsibilities for company management, revenue, commerce and marketing, Martin Štolba – Vice Chairman with responsibilities for company operations management and Josef Adam – Member with responsibilities for controlling, corporate relations, and product and customer services management.
“I greatly value the trust vested in me by shareholders and thank Philippe Moreels for his work and contribution to the company’s restructuring process.
The new Board of Directors will pursue the set strategy, in line with the approved company restructuring plan, aiming to achieve a year-round operational profit. At the same time, the Board will work towards finalising the planned transaction – entry of a third major shareholder, Travel Service, to Czech Airlines,” stated Jozef Sinčák, the new Chairman of the Czech Airlines Board of Directors.
The Czech Airlines Supervisory Board is also three-membered and effective today has the following members: Won Tae Cho – Vice Chairman, Václav Řehoř – Member and Petr Pavelec – Member.
Jozef Sinčák was appointed a member of the Czech Airlines Board of Directors last October and from this April has performed the role of its Vice Chairman.
Philippe Moreels worked in Czech Airlines in the post of a Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President for Sales and Marketing from the middle of November 2009.
In December 2009, Mr. Moreels was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and from 11 April 2011, he worked as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Czech Airlines President.
He is a co-founder of Czech Aeroholding and from the middle of February 2011 till the end of June 2014 he worked as the Czech Aeroholding Vice Chairman. Prior to joining Czech Airlines, from March 2002, Mr. Moreels worked as a Member of the ČSOB Board of Directors and CSOB Director in Chief.
