A native of Albuquerque, Chrysse Preonas studied at the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University, landing at The Peninsula Chicago after college. At The Peninsula, Preonas held a myriad of positions, making her well-versed at all areas of a hotel – housekeeping supervisor,

assistant front desk manager and reservations manager.

After successfully leading a reservations team of 10 for nearly four years, Preonas was tapped to become the spa director at The Peninsula in January 2010. Operating the 15,000 square-foot (1,400 square metre) facility and overseeing a team of 60 employees was no simple feat, but she produced record-breaking spa revenue for three consecutive years – 2011 through 2013.

Arriving at higher elevation in Denver, Preonas wants The Spa at Four Seasons to be known as the premier spa and salon in the city.

“Amenities and a wonderful, welcoming team are icing on the cake, but I want to truly provide the best service for each individual that comes through the door,” states Preonas. “This means providing intuitive service throughout the guest’s experience.”

Recognizing that spa services are more than a luxury item, but a way to reduce stress and stay healthy, she commented, “Visiting a spa is one of the few times that you can truly let go and let someone take care of you, and The Spa at Four Seasons is that ideal escape from the buzz of the city.”

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Denver was recently named to the Top 50 Hotel Spas in the United States, ranking #15, by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2014 Readers’ Poll. Integrating the surrounding mountain landscape with wood and stone elements, The Spa features 10 treatment rooms, eucalyptus steam rooms, two couple’s suites and relaxation lounges for men and women. With its signature Ormus ritual, a three-hour high-altitude revitalizing treatment, The Spa leads with innovative treatments and experienced therapists. Newly added to the 10,000 square-foot (930 square metre) facility is Level 3 Salon, a four-station salon offering blow-drys and hairstyling – from casual and curled blow-outs to men’s haircuts and colour.
