Cluj Airport Announces Three New Routes, Additional Flights On Existing Destinations And A 4th Wizz Air Aircraft For Cluj-Naoca Base

CLUJ-Airport1During a press conference, Mr. David Ciceo, Managing Director of Cluj Avram IancuInternational Airport, and John Stephenson, Executive Vice President of Wizz Air, announced the deployment of the 4th Wizz Air aircraft for Cluj operational base, and new routes opening from Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport, starting from December, 2014.

From December 20, 2014, Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport passengers, will be able to travel with a frequency of two flights per week to the destination Cologne (Germany) and from December 21, 2014, there will be regular flights to Geneva (Switzerland) and Malmö (Sweden).

 

These routes are added to the recently announced destination, Nuremberg (Germany) which will be operated from October 1, 2014.

With the deployment of the 4th aircraft for Cluj-Napoca operational base , Wizz Air has also increased frequencies to five of the existing routes, Milan-Bergamo, Paris-Beauvais, Dortmund, Bologna and Rome-Ciampino.

Decision Wizz Air to add a new aircraft to its base in Cluj, supports the development of the routes from Cluj International Airport Avram Iancu and strengthens the company’s presence in Romania market carriers.
