Contours Travel – the longest-running Latin American travel operator in Australia – is offering a series of free weekly webinars in October to help travel agents learn more about Peru and its many historical, natural and recreational attractions.
Post Rio Olympics there is mounting interest amongst Australians in South America as an adventure destination and the webinar series aims to help travel agents find out more about the continent’s 13 countries and the various tours available.
The 15-minute webinars will be held each Friday in October at 11am and agents who sign up will go into the running to win a place on a 2017 famil to South America.On October 7, the webinar will focus on the Inca Trail on which travellers can follow the footsteps of the Incas toward Machu Picchu, while the webinar on October 14 will feature the Salkantay, Lares and Cordillera Blance hiking trails through the Andes. On October 21, the webinar will be centered around Peru’s spectacularly diverse Amazon region. The fourth webinar on October 28 will focus on the neighbouring country of Bolivia, home to La Paz, which is the highest capital city in the world at 3640m, or 1400m higher than Mount Kosciuszko in Australia.
In November, the webinar series will highlight Brazil, which recently hosted the Olympics and Paralympics.
