Executives from Cubair-franceana de Aviacion and Air France airlines expressed their interest in Havana in strengthening commercial ties between the two companies, signing a Memorandum of Understanding for Trade Cooperation.

Cubana de Aviacion deputy director Ana Margarita Godoy stated that this is part of a process of mutually beneficial relations, begun on April 10, with the signing of a Special Pricing Agreement allowing both airlines to provide passengers greater options for their preferred destinations along the current routes for the two companies.

The Memorandum expresses a future of greater possibilities in collaboration, strengthening current routes between Cuba and France, as well as participation in joint projects over the medium and long term, to develop additional destinations in high demand, such as the Caribbean islands.

The aim of the document, signed during the opening ceremony of the 34th International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2014, is to explore possible exchanges in other areas, such as those of experience and management, including training programs, information processing systems, and ground operations.
