Dallas: As The Weather Heats Up, Cool Down At Meso Maya

The Avocado Margarita, Meso Maya’s signature margarita, is the ultimate summer cocktail to cool down on the patio or kick off a fun-filled evening with friends.

 

This colorful elixir is a blend of fresh avocado, pineapple, lime juice and premium tequila blanco and favorite among Dallasites. Avocados are known as one of the healthiest foods on the planet and Meso Maya combines this fruit with other fresh ingredients to offer guests a margarita with a creative flavorful twist. Meso Maya mixes each drink individually and muddles the avocado by hand to ensure the perfect margarita. For an extra kick of flavor, the restaurant adds Tajín Clásico chili salt to the rim of each glass.

Avocado Margarita Recipe
Makes one serving
Ingredients:
12 oz short margarita glass with Tajín Clásico chili salt on the rim
1.5 oz Herradura Silver tequila (or your favorite blanca/silver tequila)
.75 oz Cointreau
.75 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
1 oz Simple syrup
.75 oz Fresh squeezed pineapple juice
1.5 oz Avocado puree

 

To Prepare:
In a mixing glass add avocado puree, pineapple juice, lime juice, simple syrup, Cointreau and Herradura Silver tequila.
 
Fill glass with ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

Add fresh Tajin chili salt to a 12 oz short margarita glass. Fill with fresh ice, and strain liquid into it.

Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge on the rim.
