Darwin Hotel, H Hotel features among top 10 hotels in Australia

Darwin Hotel, H Hotel, has been named one of Australia’s top 10 hotels by travel website Wotif.
To celebrate reaching over 1 million reviews, the site has released its top 10 list of Australia’s best hotel, according to its reviewers, with the H Hotel coming in at number nine.
Melbourne hotel, The Langham took out top spot ahead of The Westin in Sydney.
Minister for Tourism Matt Conlan congratulated the H Hotel on the achievement.
“This is fantastic exposure for the H Hotel and a great endorsement for the quality of accommodation services on offer in the Top End,” Mr Conlan said.
“It shows the Territory is once again punching above its weight and is right up there with some of the best hotels in Australia.
“Majority of travellers check user reviews before booking a hotel so to receive this kind of recognition on a well-respected website like Wotif is great promotion for the H Hotel.
“I’ve always said the Territory is home to first-class services and experiences and this latest recognition proves that once again!”
Wotif claims to have the most “real reviews” for Aussie hotels online and only those who have booked and paid for accommodation can post a review on a hotels.
General Manager of Halikos Hospitality, Geoff Weeks, said he was delighted with the news.
“This is a great achievement for the H Hotel which has only been opened for a year,” he said.
“To be held in this regard amongst the 1000’s of hotel throughout Australia is a great honour.
“We are focused on providing a terrific service and Top End experience for all our guests and value all the positive comments and reviews we have received on the wotif.com website.”
The Wotif.com top 10 best Australian hotel list was compiled based on reviews up to June 1, 2014.
Reviews are ratings and comments posted by real customers who have booked on Wotif.com and stayed at the accommodation they’re reviewing.
