Cuddled up on the Anse Gouvernement beach, Deckenia is a five bedroom luxury villa with an infinity pool, two private villas each with their own private pool. additional room which can be used for the babysitter or security person.

This piece of luxury on Praslin island offers the perfect space for a retreat for the family or a group of friends, and is the ideal home away from home for all.

An impressive, one-of-a-kind décor blending perfectly with the natural environment, a picturesque view of the azure sea and a team of pleasant workers surely provides comfort away from home.

The perfect holiday in total privacy and comfort awaits you at Deckenia, away from the hassles of our busy lives and where you can relax and worry not about what to cook or house chores.

Deckenia is prepared to get you pampered with the world-class service from its butler, chef and the rest of the Deckenia staff.

Jacques Le Vieux and wife Aurore, the owners of this lavish establishment, said they wanted to choose a name that reflects the uniqueness of Seychelles, hence chose Deckenia which is an endemic palm in our country.

“We wanted to have something typically local and which will blend well with the beautiful surroundings of Anse Gouvernement, and here it is – Deckenia,” Mr Le Vieux said.

Mr Le Vieux whose is half Seychellois, said having Deckenia in one of the most beautiful islands in the world is a dream come true for him and his family.

Adding value to the exceptional décor is the paintings on the walls of the villa, especially in the bedrooms brought from local artists.

This new addition to Seychelles tourism was officially opened last week in a short cocktail reception attended by Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange, principal secretaries for tourism Anne Lafortune and that of culture Benjamine Rose, executive director of the Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association Kate Carolus, members of the tourism trade on Praslin and close friends.

Deckenia employs six members of staff of which four are Seychellois workers. The establishment is being managed by Therese Ferrari.

Making the establishment more unique is the wine cellar in the basement, equipped with the finest wines and beams thanks to a fine modern décor of recycled glass bottles and the granite rocks which have been left untouched and is now part of the wine cellar setting.

Impressed with Deckenia, Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange has congratulated the Le Vieux family for this magnificent addition to our tourism development.

He added that the Seychelles Tourism Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture will work closely, as it does wit all other members of the Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association, to help the tourism establishments grow.

On behalf of the Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association, Miss Carolus said Deckenia is a great addition to the products Seychelles has to offer.
