Delta Air Lines Introduces Full Flat-Bed Seats on Flights Between Brasilia and Atlanta

DeltaDelta Air Lines announced a significant upgrade to its service between Brasilia and Atlanta with the introduction of full flat-bed seats in the BusinessElite cabin, starting on Oct. 26, 2014.

 

The full flat-bed seats have a 180º recline and an oversized personal entertainment screens allowing travelers to increase productivity, rest and experience the audio video on demand inflight entertainment system.

“The switch from 757-200 to the widebody 767-300 underscores our commitment to the Brasilia market to bring our customers a superior travel experience, and maintain our growth with an additional 22 percent capacity increase,” said Luciano Macagno, Delta´s director for Brazil.

 

“Delta is now the only airline with daily service on widebody aircraft linking the U.S. to Brasilia, and offering connections to 99 percent of Brazilian and U.S. customer demand between the countries through our strategic partnership with GOL.”

The Boeing 767-300 aircraft has a total of 26 seats on BusinessElite, offering an increase in seating capacity of 66 percent, a 16 percent growth in Economy Comfort and a 35 percent on the Economy class capacity.

“Delta is working to become the best U.S. airline in Latin America and the Caribbean, and we listen to our frequent business travelers who have stated that the flat-beds are a must.

The new BusinessElite flat-bed seats have direct aisle access and give customers more privacy to work or rest on their way to and from Brasilia,” added Macagno.

The full flat-bed seats, available now for booking on www.delta.com and through all sales channels, are included in the following service starting on October 26, 2014:

*Full flat bed seats are only available on 767-300 aircraft and will not be available if another aircraft type needs to be substituted due to operational reasons.

Through Atlanta Delta’s hub, Brazilian travelers can connect with the more than 977 daily flights to 222 destinations that Delta operates, including nonstop service to 67 international destinations.
