Direct flights connecting Bali and Moscow attracts more Russians to Bali

bali-indonesiaThe innovative initiative by Indonesia’s flag carrier Garuda Indonesia to connect Bali and Moscow is surely drawing a lot of tourists to Bali from Russia.

 

Bali’s senior tourism figure, Bagus Sudibya, welcomed Garuda’s plan, saying that Russia was a potential market for Bali.

 
He said Eastern European countries were emerging markets for the island’s tourism, with great potential to be developed.

 
He further explained that Russian tourists could significantly contribute to the tourism sector here, since many of them were wealthy people willing to spend a considerable amount of money and to stay for at least two weeks to vacation on the island.

 
According to Bagus, Russian tourists liked outdoor activities, including diving and snorkeling, in addition to learning about local cultures.

 

Bali. a popular destination for Russian tourists registered a figure of 79,338 tourists to the island during 2013, a rise of 1.89 percent from 77,869 in 2012.
