With the new Moselsteig long-distance trail, walkers now have the chance to follow the entire course of the Moselle in Germany, discovering the river’s picturesque scenery and the highlights of the Moselle wine region.
The walking route spans 365 kilometres in total and is split into 24 sections.
The trail starts in the German-French border town of Perl on the Upper Moselle, offering fabulous views out to France and Luxembourg. From here, the footpath continues on through Trier, through pretty little villages and vineyards and on to Koblenzwhere the Moselle joins the Rhine.
