The interior design of Dorsett Kwun Tong, Hong Kong is the result of Wendy Chiu, Senior Vice President of Interior Design and her dynamic creative team.  In translating the Group’s culture and philosophy of creating an original experience that captures the best of both worlds – where Asia meets Britain, the design at Dorsett Kwun Tong, Hong Kong is an excellent showcase of Asia’s heritage of warm hospitality intertwined with interiors that are not only technology driven but feature hints of modern Western influences.  The result is a unique hotel that offers guests a hotel experience unlike any other emanating from an eclectic blend of influential cultures.

‘In designing all the hotels in our portfolio, the Design Team spent hours over the design blueprints to ensure that our designs continue to radiate the best of Asia meets Britain elements into the hotel interior.  At the same time, we are also mindful that there’s a need to continuously engage our guests, henceforth there’s always something that is uniquely different in each hotel. An element that can be associated to the hotel’s location or one that makes good conversational pieces,’ said Wendy Chiu.

‘To cite a couple of examples; at Dorsett Kwun Tong, Hong Kong we have in place an innovative and interactive doorbell which is a silhouette of a camera that comes in various accent colours.  When a guest rings the door bell, the camera light flashes just like a real camera. At Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong, the room signage is the form of a lit-up 3D horse on a lawn which is a representation of the Hotel’s famed location and view of the renowned Hong Kong Jockey Club,’ said Wendy Chiu.

‘Our design team put in hours of fun brainstorming for each hotel project and truly radiates the Group’s 4I core values: Inspiration, Innovation, Integrity and Initiative; and for this, they truly deserves this accolade,’ further added Wendy Chiu.
