EIBTM: Technology Watch – Final Call For Submissions

EIBTMEIBTM the leading global event for the meetings and events industry, is urging all meetings industry innovators to submit their EIBTM Technology Watch entries before the deadline of 10 September 2014, for a chance to win their place in the Technology and Event Services Zone at EIBTM and secure guaranteed exposure to over 15,000 meetings industry professionals and the global meetings industry media.

 

The EIBTM Technology Watch winner will gain pre-show global publicity and will be awarded an exhibition stand in the Technology and Event Services Zone at EIBTM 2014, showcasing their brand and expertise to over 15,000 industry professionals and will be invited to present their winning technology in the Innovation Zone.

 

EIBTM Technology Watch is the most high profile and longest running award recognition scheme for technology innovation in the sector worldwide and this year’s expert judging panel will be looking to award an innovative company for their pioneering technology solutions, which will have a significant impact on the meetings industry.

 

Comprised of influential leaders, and chaired by meetings technology expert Corbin Ball, the EIBTM Technology Watch judging panel 2014, will consist of Michelle Bruno, Technology Journalist – Bruno Group Signature Events, Christine Fuchs, Founder – The Social Fox, Paul Hussey, Director – The Conference Doctor, Ruud Janssen, Founder – TNOC.org and Co-Founder – EMG and Martin Sirk, CEO – ICCA. In addition, two new industry judges will join the panel this year: Stefania Conti-Vecchi, Founder and CEO – EVENTagist, an innovative community of international experts with specific know-how in the Meetings Industry and Business and Leisure Tourism, and Padraic Gilligan, Managing Partner – SoolNua, a boutique consultancy offering another viewpoint for meetings and events.

 

Stefania Conti-Vecchi, who is also Member of the Education Committee of MPI Italy Chapter and former Director of the Convention Bureau of Sardinia, commented: “Technology means innovation, solutions and new ways to do more with less. In the event industry technology is growing faster than expected, involving organisers, participants and the other operators/suppliers that are part of the business chain. I am amazed by the number of web tools, applications and solutions developed for our industry and the huge number of options you have now to manage every single step of the event”.

 

Submissions will be judged on a number of criteria including: innovation and uniqueness, impact on the meetings industry as well as completeness of the product or service.
