In an award ceremony that celebrated the very best of Latin American gastronomy, Elena, the restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires, was chosen for the fourth consecutive year among the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants by San Pellegrino.
The only listed restaurant in a five star hotel in Argentina, Elena share this honour with famous restaurants such as Central in Perú, Borágo in Chile and D.O.M in Brazil.
The announcement took place in Mexico City during an award ceremony that celebrated the very best of Latin American gastronomy and showcased its top chefs. The awards ceremony plays host to the most important chefs in the region, as well as specialised media and key figures in the restaurant industry.
The list, and the awards gala, is organised by William Reed Media Group, and neither the organiser, nor any of the sponsors – including the main sponsor and host country – has any influence on the make-up of the list. The list is created by the votes of 252 members of the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy. What constitutes “best” is left to the judgment of these trusted and well-travelled gourmets.
Juan Gaffuri, Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires, is in charge of Elena, Nuestro Secreto restaurant, Pony Line Bar and catering, one of the best in town. The momentum of Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires started almost four years ago and it is a revolution in the restaurants and bar concept in the hotel industry because of the fresh, innovative and successful product.
