Latin American country, Costa Rica, issued an emergency alert after the Turrialba volcano erupted in the centre of the country.
Lava from the eruption has travelled as far as the Costa Rican capital of San Jose.
Although the volcano has not spewed lava since the 1800s, there are acute concerns that this eruption could be a precursor to larger eruptions.
