A-Chiltern-Railways-train-300x199Chiltern Railways is advising customers to check their journey times carefully on Sunday 31 August as the line will be closed between Bicester North and Princes Risborough.
The work taking place on Sunday is part of an exciting project that will see a new line between Oxford and London Marylebone with services running from summer 2015 from Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone and from spring 2016 from Oxford to London Marylebone.

Engineers and signalling specialists will be working predominately around the Bicester area to carry out earthworks and signalling work where the new line will meet the existing line south of Bicester North station.

Whilst this work takes place, the company has arranged for buses to run between Bicester and Princes Risborough for connecting trains. In addition, Banbury services north will terminate at Oxford for First Great Western services to London Paddington.
