Flash floods in Kashmir overturn a bus — 49 feared dead

Flash-floods-in-Kashmir-overturn-a-bus-49-feared-deadFlash floods in Kashmir have overturned a bus fearing death of 49 people attending a wedding party in the borders of the Rajouri district of India administered Kahsmir.

 

There have also been reports of 20 deaths due to heavy rain and floods in the region.

 
The bus was heading to Nowshehra in Rajouri about a 150 km (93 miles) from North of Jammu City, when the accident occurred.

 
Rescue operations are on, but massive floods and adverse weather conditions are preventing the process of recovering bodies.
Some passengers may have jumped out of the bus, but it is believed that all passengers have died.
A high alert has been issued in the region as it has been raining in the area since Tuesday.
Small villages have been inundated with waterways flowing above danger mark. 50 homes have been damaged. People are being told at practice caution and take safety measures.

This weather conditions will continue till Friday.

The Indian Air force is on guard with its rescue operation plan.
