Flybe Adds New Route East Midlands

East-Midlands-Airport (1)Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has confirmed its commitment to further growth with the addition today (22nd July 2014) of a new route between East Midlands and Aberdeen, offering daily weekday flights. One way fares are on sale now from £34.99 including taxes and charges and seats are available for booking for travel effective 26th October 2014 to 28th March 2015.

Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are pleased to announce this additional route out of East Midlands and provide passengers across the Midlands with greater access into Scotland.

 
“We are committed to increasing connectivity, both for business and leisure passengers and are doing so by using a rigorous profitability analysis and utilising our strict route assessment model.
 

“The decision to add this flight reaffirms our commitment to listening to the needs of our customers and to being ‘the fastest way from A to Flybe.”

 
Andy Cliffe, Managing Director East Midlands Airport, added: “We’re delighted with the news that Flybe will be operating a daily flight to Aberdeen from East Midlands Airport. This expansion to their route network will further extend vital links to Scotland from the East Midlands region and will undoubtedly prove to be a popular addition to their destination portfolio.”

 

Flybe will now operate a total of six routes from East Midlands airport as part of its 2014-15 winter schedule offering a choice of up to 164 flights a week.
