The bright lights of Las Vegas will be a lot easier and cheaper to get to beginning next April.
Spirit Airlines today announced new daily service from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe/Pittsburgh to Las Vegas starting April 16, 2015.
“Nonstop flights to fabulous Las Vegas are sure to be popular with our customers in Western Pennsylvania,” said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines Vice President of Network Planning. “Spirit’s low Bare Fare™ with Frill Control™ allows our customers to save up to 40%, on average, on their total price for air travel, which means there’s more for them to spend on the wide variety of entertainment and hotel options when they arrive in Las Vegas.”
Spirit currently offers year-round flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, with seasonal service to Myrtle Beach, Fort Myers (starting 12/18/2014) and Tampa (starting 12/19/2014).

“We’re convinced that this new destination is going to be immensely popular” said Gabe Monzo, Westmoreland County Airport Authority Executive Director.
“When Spirit gets this route up and running, we will be doing four very popular flights every day. It’s going to be crazy around here, but that’s the kind of crazy we like.

Even the airport’s namesake is excited.
