Some-forest-areas-to-remain-closed-due-to-forest-fire-near-Chelaslie-RiverAn area restriction order that’s been in effect near a fire burning south of the Chelaslie River, including sections of Entiako Provincial Park, is being amended effective immediately to increase public access to those areas and reopen some forest service roads.
In this amended order use of forested areas west of Chedakuz creek to Tweedsmuir Park and south of Natalkuz Lake to the Blackwater River (the West Road) will remain restricted to protect the safety of firefighting personnel and the public. This area includes the Kluskus Forest Service Road west of the 118-km marker.
Although this map shows the fire perimeter, there may be sections within these boundaries which have not been impacted at this time.
On August 20, 2014, the Cariboo Regional District issued an Evacuation Alert for areas near this fire. For more information, please visit the CRD website.
On August 29, 2014, the Regional District of Bulkey-Nechako rescinded the Evacuation Order for areas near to this fire and issued an updated Evacuation Alert.

BC Parks has issued an evacuation order for all cabin owners in Entiako Provincial Park and any persons within the park.
