A favourite Boston destination and one of the top places to row in the US,

the Charles River is home to the famed Head of the Charles Regatta, and has been a source of inspiring images for generations.

Whether snapping shots while running along the leafy green paths of the river’s Esplanade, rowing under historic bridges or picnicking along the banks, photographers can share their favourite images of the Charles for a chance to win brunch for two at The Bristol Lounge, known as “Boston’s living room,” as well as a free rowing lesson on the Charles through Community Rowing, Inc. Simply post images to Facebook or Instagram and use the #FSProRow hashtag.

The Portraits of the Charles photo contest is one of a series of summer events by Four Seasons Hotel Boston celebrating the Charles River and the sport of rowing. In September, the Hotel offers its Row Like A Pro extraordinary experience package, where guests can be paired with an Olympic rowing champion for a private, VIP rowing experience on the Charles. Four Seasons Hotel Boston also recently hosted a live Twitter chat with the Olympian rowers featured in the package.
