cq5dam.web_.press_.400.keepaspectratio8Christmas and New Year is a time for celebration, with nowhere doing it more colourfully than the tropics. Carnival Creole will come to Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Petite Anse over the 2016 festive period, bringing a diverse selection of international cuisine, a host of island-style activities such as stand-up-paddle boarding and snorkeling, and a Creole-inspired New Year’s Eve celebration at Kannel Restaurant and Bar, featuring flavours from four different Creole cultures from around the world.

In Creole cultures, a meal is much more than a dining experience, it is a celebration – the perfect ethos for a festive period spent in Seychelles. During this time, Petite Anse bay will come alive with a colourful program of dining events, activities and experiences for both couples and families alike. Starting on December 23, 2016 and continuing through to January 8, 2017, guests will be delighted by the eclectic range on offer at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles.
Each of the luxury Resort’s dining outlets will play their part in the Festival Creole, hosting a variety of themed dining events throughout the festive period, including a “Griyaz Kreol” BBQ lunch on the beach, a Seafood Spectacular evening in Zez Restaurant and an opulent five course Christmas menu with expertly paired wines on Christmas Day itself. 2017 will be brought in with style with the Festival Creole, which sees Kannel Restaurant and Bar transform into a showcase of celebratory Creole cuisines from four different Creole cultures – Mauritius, New Orleans, The Caribbean and Seychelles.

Executive Chef Maxime Michaud comments, “I’m excited to be spending my first Christmas in Seychelles and that the festive period is such a long one! My team and I have been working hard to create a delicious culinary experience for our guests, with authentic dishes expertly prepared by our international team and we look forward to celebrating with Creole style.”

It’s not just foodies who will be happy with a tropical Christmas this year as there are also many other activities to be enjoyed, when not relaxing by the Indian Ocean or in the spacious treehouse style pool villas. A diverse calendar of yoga classes has been created by the Resort’s two resident instructors, including special classes such as SUP Yoga and a fun Zoo Yoga, which sees children taking the postures of their favourite animals, introduced especially for the season. Ocean lovers can also explore the reef on a guided snorkel with the WiseOceans team, to experience what it is like to be a marine biologist for the day with the Reef Restoration Project Officer or learn to surf with luxury surf guiding company TropicSurf. The hilltop Spa overlooking Petite Anse bay also offers guests a tropical retreat, nestled high in the hillside among the jungle and providing a full menu of indulgent treatments, rituals and experiences which make perfect gifts for the festive season.
