Fred.-Olsen-Cruise-logoFred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Black Watch has been delayed due to very severe weather being experienced on her inbound voyage from the Baltic to Dover. Black Watch is returning to the UK from a 12-night ‘Baltic Capitals’ cruise (W1322), having taken shelter in Hamburg, Germany, and is now scheduled to return to Dover on Saturday 7th December 2013, at ca. 15.00 hrs.

Guests, who were due to set sail on Black Watch’s next cruise, a four-night ‘Paris & Bruges’ mini-cruise (W1323), this afternoon [6th December 2013], have been contacted by telephone, text and e-mail to inform them of the changes to their itinerary. This cruise was scheduled to visit Rouen (for tours to Paris) for an overnight stay on Saturday 7th December 2013, before cruising to Zeebrugge, for tours to Bruges, on Monday 9th December 2013. The itinerary has now been revised as follows:

Arrive Depart
Saturday 7th December Dover Late night
Sunday 8th December Le Havre Early Morning Late Afternoon
Monday 9th December Zeebrugge (for Bruges) Early Morning Late Afternoon
Tuesday 10th December Dover Early Morning

A number of guests have made the decision to cancel their cruise and have received a full refund. Those guests choosing to remain on the cruise have been offered a 25% refund for the night that they have lost on board due to the bad weather, which will be refunded via their onboard account.

Albeit a ‘Force Majeure‘ situation, outside of our control, we sincerely apologise to our guests for the delay and the shortened cruise.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and we are working with all the appropriate authorities to ensure that the safety of our disembarking and embarking guests remains our utmost priority at all times.
