Frontier Airlines Offers Holiday Travel Tips

frontier-airlineWith the busy holiday travel season now arriving, Frontier Airlines is reminding travelers of a few tips to make holiday travel go as smoothly as possible.

Booking a Flight
The best place to book a Frontier flight is always at FlyFrontier.com, where customers will receive a free carry-on bag on all fares, a free seat assignment on all fares, and Frontier’s best travel value with our Best Fare Guarantee.
If you do book on another site, please note that a carry-on bag fee may apply. Customers who booked on another site will pay the lowest carry-on fee when they check in online at FlyFrontier.com before arriving at the airport. And remember, checking a bag with Frontier is cheaper than carrying it on! For details about carry-on bag fees, visit: FlyFrontier.com/customer-service/travel-support/baggage/carry-on-baggage.

Flight Check-in
All customers should check-in online at FlyFrontier.com before arriving at the airport. Customers who check-in online can save time and money.
Customers who check-in online will save money by always paying the lowest fees to check a bag. For customers on Economy and Basic fares, the first checked bag fee is only $20 at FlyFrontier.com, but is higher at the airport. For customers on Basic fares, the savings are even larger – a carry-on bag costs only $25 when using online check-in rather than $50 when they get to the airport.

At the airport customers who check-in online will save time by dropping off their checked bags in the designated Bag Drop Lane at the Frontier ticket counter.

Remember, you can also check-in online using the mobile-compatible version of FlyFrontier.com from your smartphone. If you do, proceed to the Bag Drop Lane or a self-service kiosk when you arrive at the airport to get your printed boarding pass.

Arrive Early
Frontier recommends that all passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure to allow time for check-in, security, and getting to the gate during the busy holiday season. Frontier reminds customers about cutoff times for check-in and arriving at the gate that help to ensure on-time departures.

All customers and baggage must be checked-in with boarding pass printed no later than 45 minutes before flight departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes before flight departure for international flights – customers should note that this is earlier than some other airlines require.

All customers must be at the departure gate at least 15 minutes prior to departure or seats may be released.

Other Reminders
Frontier allows all passengers to bring one personal item onto the aircraft that does not exceed 14″ height x 8″ width x 18″ length. A larger carry-on bag up to 10″ height x 16″ width x 24″ length is included for all customers who booked on FlyFrontier.com. A fee will apply to bring a larger carry-on bag for any customers traveling on a Basic Fare purchased through a third party, including other travel websites. Any oversize carry-on bags and additional carry-on bags beyond the allowance will be checked for a fee.

If you are traveling with children, remember to get seats together in advance of your flight. By managing your reservation at FlyFrontier.com, you can select seats in advance on all fare types and pay any applicable fees. All tickets originally purchased at FlyFrontier.com include a free seat assignment.
