Frontier has received the prestigious Diamond Award of Excellence from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Diamond Award, the FAA’s highest honor for maintenance training, recognizes Frontier’s ongoing commitment to aircraft maintenance and training excellence.
“Frontier is proud to be recognized for our commitment to high quality maintenance training and upholding the highest safety standards in the aircraft maintenance industry,” said Allen Messick, Frontier’s Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. “The Diamond Award is a reflection of our maintenance professionals’ commitment and dedication to maintaining our fleet while making safety their top priority.”
Frontiers maintenance team completed over 5,100 hours of aircraft and product specific instruction, safety and FAA regulatory training in 2013.
The FAA first created this award program in 1991 to encourage aviation maintenance technicians and their employers to actively participate in training programs. Frontier Airlines qualified for a Diamond Award when 100 percent of its aircraft technicians completed training last year.
