Frontier Airlines today announced the return of nonstop service between its Denver, Colo. (DEN), hub and both Harrisburg, PA (MDT) and Knoxville, TN (TYS). Both routes will operate with three weekly nonstop flights beginning April 22, 2013.

To celebrate the seasonal return of this service, Frontier is offering fares as low as $99* each way available for purchase through Feb. 17, available at FlyFrontier.com. These fares are for travel April 22, 2013, through May 15, 2013.

“We are excited to bring back our low fares to residents in east Tennessee and central Pennsylvania,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “Travelers in the area will enjoy our low fares to Denver and other destinations in the west aboard our comfortable A319 aircraft, featuring DIRECTV® service in every seatback and five rows of STRETCH seating and will have a chance to discover all the improvements we have made to FlyFrontier.com over the past few months.”

“The central Pennsylvania region is eagerly awaiting the return of Frontier’s high quality, affordable nonstop service to Denver—one of our top destinations,” said Timothy J. Edwards, executive director of Harrisburg International Airport. “Also, Frontier provides residents throughout the western U.S. fast and convenient access to our region’s most popular destinations including Hershey, Gettysburg, Lancaster and Harrisburg.”

The service to Denver complements Frontier’s year-round nonstop service between Harrisburg and the Orlando International Airport in Orlando, FL (MCO).

“Frontier Airlines has been a valued partner in the past, and we welcome their return to our market,” said Howard Vogel, chairman of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority’s Board of Commissioners. “Frontier’s competitive fare structure allows our business and leisure travelers from East Tennessee to access Denver and destinations beyond, during the busy spring and summer travel season. These Frontier routes will provide an opportunity for our friends on the West Coast to visit and experience all that is great about East Tennessee.”

Beginning May 16, 2013, the days of operation for Harrisburg will be Tues/Thurs/Sun and the days of operation for Knoxville will be Mon/Wed/Fri.

This service will operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft – featuring 30 channels of DIRECTV® service available at every seat. Additionally, these flights will offer five rows of comfortable STRETCH seating, offering an additional five to seven inches of legroom, and the airline’s SELECT seating product. Frontier’s website, FlyFrontier.com, offers the guaranteed best fares and is the only place STRETCH and SELECT seating is available at the time of booking.
