Garuda Indonesia Airlines wins “The World’s Best Cabin Staff” award from Skytrack

Garuda-Indonesia-Airlines-wins-“The-World’s-Best-Cabin-Staff”-award-from-Skytrack-300x200Garuda Indonesia Airlines wins “The World’s Best Cabin Staff” award for the third time from Skytrack London in the Farnborough International Airshow.

The airline has won many prestigious awards The World’s Best Regional Airline” in 2012 and “The World’s Best Economy Class” in 2013.

The CEO Garuda Indonesia, Emirsyah Satar, received the award from the CEO of Skytrack specially thanked the customers for recognizing the efforts of the staff.

The award was based on an international satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax from over 18 million passengers in 2013 till May 2014.

The airlines launched recruitment for Chinese flight attendants and almost twenty nine candidates attended the event wearing cheongsams in Shanghai. They were selected from 800 participants across China.

Since China is an important market for Garuda, Wayan Subagia, vice president of Garuda Indonesia China Region felt that this was the best way to make Chinese passengers feel at home. The award will naturally boost all the 35 the Chinese crew members.

Garuda Indonesia introduced its service, the “Garuda Indonesia Experience,” in 2009. The service blends the Indonesia’s warm and gracious hospitality as well as unique atmosphere with the airline’s professional service.

“Safety”, “zero tolerance” and “no excuses” are the key words that guide Garuda.

The airline is paying a lot of attention to safety especially after the mishap experienced by its competitor Malaysia Airlines. Safety Management System education and training are being implemented with safety audits along with reviewing all aspects to improve the overall level of security and minimisng accidents.

Chinese travellers are being offered on-flight visa applications; a special service provided for Chinese travellers from Shanghai to Jakarta has already taken off last month.

The frequency of flights from China has been increased to fly more Chinese passengers. Chinese passengers are made to feel at home while travelling to give then a unique home in the sky feel.
