Clair-300x183Tourism Ireland invited 10 leading GB coach and group tour operators to Northern Ireland, to experience for themselves the high standard and variety of our tourism offering and to take part in two networking events with local tourism providers in Belfast.

Following an itinerary devised by Tourism NI, the tour operators travelled to Fermanagh to visit some of the many tourist attractions in the area. These included a visit to Belleek Pottery, National Trust’s Florence Court property, and the Marble Arch Caves and Global Geopark. They also enjoyed a cruise along Lough Erne and a visit to the newly refurbished Enniskillen Castle. Informal networking events with local tourism businesses also took place in Belfast, on board HMS Caroline, and at La Mon Hotel.

Vanessa Markey, Tourism Ireland’s head of Great Britain, said: “Tourism Ireland is delighted to bring these top GB coach and group operators to Northern Ireland, to see and experience some of our many visitor attractions and to encourage them to extend the Northern Ireland content of their existing programmes, or to include Northern Ireland for the first time in their 2017 programmes.

“We are rolling out our busy autumn campaign right now, targeting millions of potential holidaymakers around Great Britain for city and rural breaks between now and the end of the year, highlighting the many festivals taking place and what makes a holiday here unique and truly memorable.”
