Urban Adventures, the world’s leading day tour provider, is searching for local partners in dozens of destinations across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania, as part of a long-term goal to welcome one million passengers on its unique itineraries, which are led by local guides.

The tour company already offers 265 tours in 90 destinations around the world, and is now actively seeking new local partners in a wide range of destinations, including Agra, Jaipur, Kolkata, Varanasi, Bali, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Singapore, Phuket, Vienna, Salzburg, Brugge, Sarajevo, Avignon, Bordeaux, Nice, Munich, Dublin, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Bilbao, Valencia, Basel, Zurich, Belfast, Edinburgh, London, Sao Paolo, Salvador Bahia, Antigua (Guatemala), Tikal, Copan, San Cristobal, Cancun, Oaxaca, Granda/San Juan del Sur, San Juan (Puerto Rico), Montevideo, Caracas, Montreal, Austin, Chicago, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, Portland, Seattle, Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Byron Bay, Canberra Darwin, Gold Coast, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.

During the last quarter, sales revenues at Urban Adventures soared by almost 60 per cent year-on-year, and with the recent launch of Fun Independent Travel (FIT) Passes and the expansion of its ‘Home Cooked’ range of tours, Urban Adventures expects double digit growth to continue.

To become an Urban Adventures Partner, applicants must have the inside scoop on their city’s hidden gems, be passionate about showing travellers the very best their city has to offer, committed to the principles of responsible travel, and have the entrepreneurial spirit required to operate a tour business. In some cities, the applicant will also need a license to guide tourists.

“A background in tour guiding is not an essential requirement to become an Urban Adventures Partner,” said Tony Carne, Urban Adventures’ General Manager. “You might be an artist, musician, actor, blogger, retail worker, foodie, bartender, server, customer service rep, concierge or something else entirely, but if you’ve got the know-how about your city, and the passion and drive to build a profitable business, we’ll offer you the sales, marketing and distribution support of a global brand, and the chance to become part of a network of like-minded tour professionals that operates right across the world,” Carne added.
