Google plans to relaunch its airline ticket service

google-flight-search-300x214Airline booking and comparison enabled search is going to be the new venture from Search engine giants, Google.com. Previously, the airline companies used to depend on the Google AdWords to drive traffic to their sites. However, the recent airline venture from Google will enable consumers to find simpler airfare comparison and accommodation services. Probably, a re-launch of the airline ticket service will initiate a number of speculation in the airline industry.

Budget airline Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary said it is working with Google to completely transform how consumers search for, select, and buy airline tickets, accommodation and other travel services. “Google are developing a price-comparison thing themselves,” said O’Leary. “It’ll blow comparison sites like Skyscanner out of the water,” he added. He expected the project to go live by the end of March.

“Because Google, being Google, want to show all of the prices from all of the airlines they don’t want to charge us – they make all of their money out of advertising,” explained O’Leary. “They don’t want to have a limited or biased search. They want to be able to say they have screened all of these airlines on all of the routes.”
