Hawaiian Airlines earned the number one spot in on-time performance and fewest consumer complaints during the month of June, as reported today by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Hawai‘i’s largest and longest-serving airline earned the top spot out of 16 of the nation’s largest carriers, with 95.3 percent of its flights arriving as scheduled in June.
Hawaiian Airlines also ranked as the industry’s best airline in terms of consumer complaints, with the DOT receiving only two complaints – the fewest of any airline – out of the 877,636 passengers served in June, representing just 0.23 complaints for every 100,000 passengers.
In addition, Hawaiian Airlines ranked second in the avoidance of flight cancellations with a total of five cancellations, or 0.1 percent, out of 6,339 flights operated in the same month.
Hawaiian Airlines, the leading U.S. carrier in on-time performance for 10 consecutive years, provides daily non-stop service to Hawai‘i from 11 gateway cities in North America – more cities than any other carrier – using Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
It is the only carrier to offer wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft for all transpacific flights. The airline is also the leading provider of air service between the islands of Hawai‘i, operating more than 200 flights daily.
