In response to Super Typhoon Haiyan that devastated the central islands of the Philippines, Hilton Worldwide has set up a disaster relief matching program for Team Members and Hilton HHonors members to support recovery efforts. Now through December 31, 2013, donations made at GlobalGiving.org/hhonors will be matched by the company, dollar-for-dollar, up to $150,000. In addition, for every $1 USD donated, Hilton HHonors members will receive 10 HHonors Bonus Points.
Funds donated will support the ongoing provision of immediate relief, including emergency shelter, healthcare, water, sanitation and tracing and restoring family links, and also towards eventual recovery support to the affected population.”Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the Philippines – as well as their family and friends throughout the world who have been affected by this tragedy,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, President & Chief Executive Officer, Hilton Worldwide.
“We’ve already received an overwhelmingly positive response from our Team Members and Hilton HHonors members who want to help, and we thank them for their generosity.” Hilton HHonors members may donate to a participating organization of their choice. To view a full list of the projects that are currently being supported by the company, or to make a donation, please visit GlobalGiving.org/hhonors.
