Holland America ship to go on a 114 days world tour from Lauderdale

Amsterdam-300x157An around the world cruise 2015 is being planned by Holland America with stops in 45 ports of six continents. The voyage will be for 114 days and the 1,380-passenger Amsterdam will start its journey on the 5th days of the New Year of 2015 from Fort Lauderdale. The journey will end in full circle in the same port on April 30, 2015.

The Amsterdam will follow a westerly route around the globe that starts with a daylight transit of the Panama Canal to the Pacific Ocean. From there, the ship will sail to Polynesia, visiting six islands including Tahiti and Bora Bora before continuing on to New Zealand and Australia.

 

It will sail to Asia exploring Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar as well as India and the Middle East. Then it will travel to Oman, Egypt and Jordan and transit the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean for stops in Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal before crossing the Atlantic back to Fort Lauderdale.

 

Fares will start at $19,999 per person, based on double occupancy. There are shorter segments of the sailing also in the offer. With a 30-day stretch from Fort Lauderdale to Auckland, New Zealand starts at $5,299 per person. The subsequent, 27-day segment between Auckland and Singapore starts at $5,199 per person.
