Hong Kong Airlines launched a twice weekly service between Hong Kong and Miyazaki, Japan, becoming the only airline in Hong Kong operating this direct flight service.
Situated in the southeastern part of Kyushu, Miyazaki is a combination of rich history, unique culture and natural landscapes. Boasting many shrines involved with the myth of the birth of Japan, Miyazaki is named as “The origin of Japan”. Facing the Pacific Ocean with a beautiful coastline, the Nichinan Coast contains places of natural beauty such as Aoshima and Cape Toi, making it one of the most famous destinations in Japan. Thanks to the great weather in this tropical land, a variety of cuisines like local chicken grills, Miyazaki beef and scrumptious mangoes are all not to be missed.

The flight service for Miyazaki route is currently in the form of direct charter service. Ticket reservation are handled by designated travel agents, including HKA Holidays, EGL Tous, Hong Thai Travel Services, Wing On Travel, Westminster Travel, NanHwa (Express), Lotus Tours, Wincastle Travel, and Citizen Thunderbird Travel.
The Kagoshima route, another Japan route operated by Hong Kong Airlines, celebrated its first anniversary on 30 March 2015. Since its launch last year, the Kagoshima route has become popular among tourists. To further meet the growing market demand, commencing on 12 May 2015, the Company will expand its Kagoshima flight service from twice a week (every Thursday and Sunday) to three flights a week by adding a Tuesday flight.

“With the launch of Miyazaki service and the additional flight of Kagoshima route, and complimented by the airlines’ existing daily flight to Okinawa and five-time weekly service to Sapporo, Hong Kong Airlines will operate a total of 24 weekly flights between Hong Kong and Japan by May, further strengthening its route network.”
