Hong Kong Airlines joins the Executive Committee of the BAR HK

Hong-Kong-AirlinesHong Kong Airlines is pleased to join the Executive Committee of the Board of Airline Representatives in Hong Kong (BAR HK), holding hands with another 18 airlines to improve the commercial and operational conditions for airlines active in Hong Kong.

Comprised members of home carriers and international airlines from around the world, BAR HK forms an essential platform in Hong Kong for discussion of matters of interest to the global civil aviation industry.

 

BAR HK also takes part in all important aeropolitical discussions, changes in legislation, security issues and other related matters.

Mr. Zhang Kui, President of Hong Kong Airlines said, “We are delighted to be the new Executive Committee member of BAR HK.

 

As a young Hong Kong-based airline, we take upon ourselves to promote sustainable growth of aviation and strengthen Hong Kong as an international and regional aviation center. Joining the Executive Committee provides us a better opportunity to communicate with other airlines for the common interest in the aviation industry.”

Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally-acclaimed SKYTRAX 4-star airline, operates one of the youngest fleets in the world.

 

The current operating fleet is 24 aircraft with an average age at just 2.8 years as of the end of 2014.

 

Hong Kong Airlines’ scheduled passenger service covered 26 destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. Popular destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, Okinawa, etc.
