AIBTM, The Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (www.aibtm.com), announced that Hosted Buyer applications and Trade Visitor registrations are now being accepted online.
The Hosted Buyer Program gives top-level meeting planners the opportunity to meet one-on-one with exhibitors of their choice. AIBTM takes place June 10th – 12th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
“We pride ourselves on matching our highly qualified buyers with exhibitors,” said Michael Lyons, AIBTM Exhibition Director. “This selective process is something that helped us achieve the honor of being named Trade Show Executive’s Best Hosted Buyer Program for 2013.”
Qualified AIBTM Hosted Buyers will have at least eight quality one-on-one pre-scheduled, priority appointments with exhibitors of their choice as well as have the opportunity to attend one destination presentation per trade show day attended. 18,000 pre-scheduled appointments are anticipated at AIBTM 2014.
Appointments are made using AIBTM’s buyer-driven appointment system, which according to Lyons is extremely effective at driving Hosted Buyer attendance to the show. In fact, 92% of Hosted Buyers find the appointment matching system extremely important when deciding to come to AIBTM.
“Buyers like having these appointments blocked on their calendar in advance because it creates efficiency within their schedules,” said Lyons. “They don’t have to wait in lines to get meetings; they just show up at their scheduled time and start conducting business right away.”
Hosted Buyers will also receive complimentary travel and accommodations, all arranged by AIBTM’s dedicated Hosted Buyer team. In addition to the trade show floor benefits, Hosted Buyers will also be invited to attend exclusive networking events and complimentary CEU-accredited education sessions designed specifically to meet the needs of association, corporate, agency and business travel professionals.
Last year, 97% of Hosted Buyers reported they were satisfied with AIBTM 2013 including Patricia Olejnik, Meetings Manager, ALA, Association of Legal Administrators. “I am grateful for the Hosted Buyer program. It allows me to attend AIBTM [by offsetting the cost of attendance]. At the show, there are a variety of booths to visit for more information on any given exhibitor, along with the pre-scheduled appointments which helps keep your focus on business over the next couple of years,” she said.
Hosted Buyer applications are reviewed and accepted based on the number and size of meetings, events, incentives and annual conferences, individual purchasing authority, annual budgets for meetings, events and incentives, amount of business conducted and potential for future business in the meetings and business travel industries.
