The UK’s biggest celebration of Japanese culture, cuisine, entertainment and technology returns this year with an even greater selection of exhibitors, workshops, guests, performers plus many more in what will be the 6th HYPER JAPAN, taking place at Earls Court in London from 25-27 July 2014.
A dynamic blend of traditional and modern Japanese culture, HYPER JAPAN offers something for everyone, whether you want to discover new hot music artists, or discover the latest up and coming performing arts, play dress up with the latest kawaii fashion, judge the very best sushi chefs in the UK, or sample the delicious sake on offer – HYPER JAPAN is a truly unique event that offers something for both the dedicated Japanophile, and those not so familiar with Japanese culture.

Hyper Japan Game & Anime Park iconHYPER Game and Anime Park – This year’s HYPER JAPAN will offer a dedicated game and anime area. Expect a huge selection of manga & anime, games, figures, merchandise featuring your favourite characters.
Last year’s impressive showing included iconic brands from Nintendo and Namco Bandai for games and, for anime, DAISUKI, the coolest anime streaming. HYPER JAPAN is one of the most anticipated events of the year for UK fans of cosplay (the art of dressing up to replicate your favourite anime or video character) Visitors can either be entertained by the display or nominate themselves for the World Cosplay Summit.
Hyper Japan Fringe Market iconHYPER Fringe Market – A dedicated section for niche interests, custom made goods and up and coming talent. If you like hand-made goods based on Japanese traditions, unique one off fashion accessories or live performances in a more intimate space, this is worth exploring as it will be full of things not seen on UK high streets.
Hyper Kawaii iconHYPER KAWAii!! – Bigger and better than ever before, this year there will be an entire HYPER KAWAii!! area dedicated to inspiring, fun and colourful Japanese street fashion. HYPER JAPAN is teaming up with Japanese fashion powerhouse ASOBISYSTEM of HARAJUKU KAWAii!!, who produced Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. This HYPER KAWAii!! area will be jam packed with all the relevant stalls and areas such as hair, make up and fashion shows.
Eat Japan iconEat Japan – The much celebrated Eat Japan section returns attracting a diverse range of food and drink lovers. It will include the popular Sushi Awards, where you can taste sushi created by the UK’s top sushi chefs and plus head towards the much anticipated sake stalls, where you will taste and learn more about Japan’s national drink.
