The five year contract commenced at the beginning of May, with ICE operating five branches at Edinburgh Airport in the departure and arrivals halls. In addition, 12 multi-currency ATMs have been installed throughout the airport providing passengers with speedy access to Euros.

Almost 9.8 million passengers travelled through Edinburgh Airport in 2013 – the busiest year ever for a Scottish airport. Over 40 airlines fly 145 services to 110 destinations in 32 different countries.

A spokesperson from Edinburgh Airport said: “We’re delighted to welcome ICE to Edinburgh Airport. As Scotland’s busiest airport we’re committed to ensuring our customers have the very best experience and choice of services.

“Foreign Exchange services are a core part of any airport offering and it was important we selected a foreign exchange provider which understood the customer and were focused on delivering convenience and value.”

Koko Sarkari, COO of ICE, adds: “This is another significant award for ICE, boosting our presence in the UK, where we now have a network of over 50 branches, while opening up access to our services to a whole new audience of travellers. Our focus is on delivering FX services in the way our customers want it, whether via branch, airport, ATM or online. Convenience and value are key and we look forward to serving the growing number of passengers using Edinburgh Airport each week.”
