Crowne_Plaza_Changi_Airport,_Singapore_-_20120320With new policies adapted by India to woo tourists to the country, the visa on arrival facility extended to 180 countries which is expected to boost tourism, the government is focusing on building hotels and airports in the smaller key cities with world class convention facilities to meet the demands of the anticipated inflow of tourists in the country.

This has drawn interest from many an international hotel chains like the IHG the British based multinational which owns Crowne Plaza.

The hotel Chain is looking at building more hotels in India but is more interested in airport hotel models just like the Plaza Changi Airport hotel in Singapore. It is convenient for travellers as the minute they step out of the airport, they would have to worry no more and just hop into the world class facilities offered by an airport hotel to de-stress themselves from their travel.

The hotel chain has already made its presence in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bengaluru, Kochi and Ahmadabad.

Airport hotels are always a better option as they provide the best relaxation that a weary traveller seeks, feels an executive of the hotel chain. The Changi Airport hotel in Singapore was named as the best airport hotel in Asia and the world by London-based Skytrax a global source of airlines rating and reviews.

The demand for airport hotels are more and attracts international travellers who prefer staying at the airport as a  stopover for the next flight instead of going unnecessarily into the city or simply feel better to rest close to the airport after a  long journey.

According to a report of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), India has moved from the 24th position in 2000 to the 20 position last year in the world’s business travel market. The country will touch higher grounds in this year feel experts.

To keep up with this flow India has to work on more advanced strategies and build state of the art facilities to grow its business where tourists will wish to return to this destination again and again.
