Jet2 plane makes emergency landing at Manchester

emergency-landing1-300x225A Jet2 plane flying from East Midlands Airport to Heraklion in Crete has made an emergency landing at Manchester Airport due to a technical snag.

The Jet2 aircraft took off at 5.40 pm from East Midlands airport.

 

Suddenly, the pilot discovered some undisclosed technical issue and called for an emergency landing.

 

The plane circled over the peak district before landing at the Manchester Airport around 7 pm.

The flight from East Midlands to Heraklion had declared an emergency and was circling the airport at around 19,000 feet.

The Boeing 737 plane headed from East Midlands Airport to Heraklion landed safely in Manchester after the pilot declared an emergency shortly after take-off.

The technical fault with the aircraft is believed to be the reason behind the decision to divert the flight for an emergency landing.

 

The flight landed safely according to reports. East Midlands have said the plane suffered a ‘minor technical fault’ and passengers are transferring to another plane to continue their journey.

According to an official for the airline, the Flight LS625 has landed safely at Manchester Airport.

 

All passengers have disembarked and were shortly continued on their journey to Greece on board another aircraft.

 

He apologized for any inconvenience caused to the customers.
